Mark Morgan
Qualified from London University in 1989 and trained in Vascular and General Surgery in London and the South-East of England. Mr. Morgan was awarded (with distinction) a Masters Degree in Vascular Science and Technology from Imperial College London in 1997, at which time he created the ‘VascuQol’ questionnaire – an internationally renowned quality of life measure for patients with peripheral vascular disease.
Moving to Tauranga in 2004 Mark has been active in improving Vascular surgical services to the Bay of Plenty and remains dedicated to providing services to the public health sector.
He was one of the first Vascular Surgeons to provide Endovenous Laser therapy to patients with varicose veins in New Zealand, and is now one of the most experienced providers in the country. He has been awarded Fellowship of the Australasian Society of Phlebology.

KATE SCHULER

Sally Shaw
As a vascular sonographer, Sally will be the person who provides a detailed ultrasound assessment of your veins prior to any treatment. She is also integral to the treatment with both laser and foam sclerotherapy (both of which are ultrasound guided). Sally's experience with these non-surgical treatments of varicose veins dates from the time these were first introduced to New Zealand in 1999. She has set up her own business - FOCUS ultrasound - contracting out her expertise to the NZ Vein clinic.
REBECCA DU-PLESSIS
Rebecca is an essential part of the team providing Endovenous Laser Treatment to Varicose Veins. As an experienced theatre nurse Rebecca ensures the procedure room, equipment, local anaesthetic fluid preparation, and assistance during the procedure are all taken care of. She is in charge of the laser equipment during treatment, and will look after you from the time you arrive to the time you leave. In addition to her role in treating varicose veins Rebecca has a regular commitment as a theatre scrub nurse for skin cancer surgeries.
